인공지능 챗GPT를 이용하여 영어공부를 하는 끝판왕 이야기를 해보고자 합니다. 영어 교사가 필요 없을 정도로 효과적으로 공부할 수 있는 방법입니다. 인공지능은 아무리 많은 질문을 해도, 아무리 많은 문장을 만들어 달라고 해도, 내가 쓴 문장을 첨삭지도를 요청해도 24시간 언제나 대답해 줍니다. 영어 선생님은 그럴 수 없습니다. 자 이제 이 인공지능 ChatGPT로 영어를 공부하는 모든 방법에 대해 알아보겠습니다.

일단 내가 원하는 문장을 프롬프트에 넣고 아래와 같은 프롬프트로 확인할 수 있습니다.

특정 주제에 대해서 이야기를 할 때 쓸 수 있는 프롬프트는 아래와 같습니다.

자신이 지원하는 포지션 명칭만 위에 넣으면 ChatGPT가 인터뷰어로 질문을 해주고, 내가 인터뷰를 받는 사람 입장에서 대화를 이어나갈 수 있습니다. 내가 한 말이 문법적으로 맞는지 중간중간 물어보면서 진행한 후에 해당 스크립트를 인쇄해서 완벽하게 외우는 방식으로 영어 인터뷰를 준비할 수 있습니다. 

 

'좀 더 자세하게 설명해 줘'라고 불어보기

대화를 하다가 관련된 단어를 더 알려달라고 할 수도 있고, 관련된 표현을 더 알려달라고 할 때 넣을 수 있는 프롬프트입니다. 여기에 숙어(관용표현)를 알려달라고 할 수도 있습니다. 

 

특정 공간, 상황에서의 대화 스크립트 만들기

가령 공항, 레스토랑, 스타벅스 커피숍, 회사, 학교 등 특정 공간에서의 대화스크립트를 만들어달라고 할 수 있습니다. 등장인물을 지정해 줄 수도 있고, 여기에 숙어를 많이 넣어달라고 요청할 수도 있습니다.

영어공부에 필요한 추가적인 프롬프트

대화를 하다가 내가 모르는 단어가 나왔을 때 단어의 뜻을 물어보거나, 관용어구의 뜻을 물어보거나 할 때 사용할 수 있는 표현은 아래와 같습니다. 사전이 필요가 없을 정도입니다. 그리고 해당 단어를 이용한 예문을 만들어 달라고 할 수도 있습니다. 아래의 프롬프트가 큰 도움이 될 것입니다.

이메일을 써달라는 요청

그런데 저는 이런 방식으로 사용하는 것도 매우 유용했습니다. 외국에 있는 사람에게 메일을 써야 할 때가 많이 있는데-환불해 달라는 요청, 계약을 체결하자는 요청, 민원을 넣어야 하는 경우 등- 이때에도 내가 전달하려는 의도만 정확하게 이야기하면 정말 완벽한 메일을 써 줍니다.
